<b>Thomas Rudge</b> worked as a brick maker all his life. He moved around the Country quite a lot, presumably where there was wor k and much building work was going on. He lived with his parents in Penn, Wolverhampton up to age 15. At the time of his marriage in 1847, he was living with <b>James and El izabeth Carter</b> at Swan Lane, Stockingford, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, w here his first son <b>James</b> was born in 1848. He was probably livin g away from home at the time of the 1851 Census, leaving his family liv ing with his wife's parents. The family lived in Aston in 1853, until at least 1859. Thomas was aged 3 5, when <b>Lucy</b> was born and then two more children <b>Thomas</b> a nd <b>William</b>, . The family moved to 227 Ashton Road, Oldham, Lancashire, around 1861, T homas aged 45, where four more children were born, <b>Ellen</b>, <b>Mil licent</b>, <b>Alice</b> and <b>Frank</b>. He died in1888 at 217 Ashton Road, Oldham.
